Recycling

If you visit Pearl Creek these days you will notice plastic stacking bins provided by our Business Partner, Design Alaska, to assist our efforts in recycling. Now, in addition to reducing and reusing items, composting and recycling aluminum cans, Pearl Creek staff and students are recycling paper, cardboard and plastic. K & K Recycling will be collecting our recyclables on a regular schedule. Please help us recycle by following these simple guidelines and putting your items in the color coded bins as follows:

• GREEN = Paper (any mixed paper, magazines, etc.)
• YELLOW = Plastic (all plastics, just please rinse off food and leave caps off bottles)
• BLUE = Cardboard (break it down, and flatten it please)

We appreciate your cooperation as we learn the ropes of being more environmentally aware and responsible with our use of limited resources.
